Rating: 5 Stars

This album was originally released as a double LP. In retrospect it can be seen as a step in Klaus Schulze's development towards the typical sound that we know from his fifth album onwards. His main instrument is still an electronic organ, but he also uses a small synthesiser. Once more he uses recordings of an orchestra. Musically he's mixing the drones of his first album with melodic tones.

The bonus track is a live recording from a concert in St. Michael's Cathedral in Brussels in 1977.

Klaus Schulze also appeared on three other albums in 1973.

Ash Ra Tempel - Join Inn (1973)

Manuel Göttsching (guitar)
Hartmut Enke (bass guitar)
Klaus Schulze (drums and electronics)
Rosi Müller (vocals)

Rating (4½ Stars)

This was Ash Ra Tempel's fourth album. The first side of the LP is high quality space rock. The second side is a beautiful electronic masterpiece which is spoilt by Rosi Müller's random vocals. It's interesting that Klaus is missing from the group photo and is only added in a separate photo as if he's an outsider.

Walter Wegmüller - Tarot (1973)

Walter Wegmüller (vocals)
Manuel Göttsching (guitar)
Hartmut Enke (bass guitar)
Klaus Schulze (electronics)
Jürgen Dollase (guitar)
Jerry Berkers (bass guitar)
Harald Großkopf (drums)
Walter Westrupp (various)

Rating: 3 Stars

This was released as a double LP with 22 tracks about the 22 Tarot cards. Different musicians appear on different tracks, so the musical quality varies. At the time I bought this LP I was studying the Tarot cards, so I could verify that the texts sung by Walter Wegmüller were in agreement with the standard teachings, even though they were too superficial to offer any instruction.

"Tarot" was re-released on a double CD which I no longer have, because it was stolen by Thomas Kuzilla of Dearborn Heights, Michigan.

Sergius Golowin - Lord Krishna von Goloka (1973)

Sergius Golowin (vocals)
Klaus Schulze (electronics)
Jürgen Dollase (guitar)
Jerry Berkers (bass guitar)
Jörg Mierke (various)
Walter Westrupp (various)
Bernd Witthüser (various)

Rating: 4 Stars

This is an album of spiritual music singing the praises of Krishna. It's been re-released on CD. When I first heard it I greatly enjoyed it and listened to it often, but it's lost its appeal to me now.
